Who Are Apple’s New Periscope Camera Module Suppliers for the iPhone 15 Pro Max?

After months of uncertainty, Apple has finally decided which company will be the supplier of the periscope camera module in the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics chosen, according to Elec on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. It was stated that both LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronic will provide OIS actuators for the periscope camera module. Which supply 70 percent and 30 percent, respectively.

For your information : Jahwa has teamed up with Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics to supply components for the upcoming Galaxy S23 series as well as the Galaxy A54.

Currently, Apple’s suppliers Alps Alpine and Mizumi have shipped spring-type actuator components for iPhone cameras. However, the spherical actuator made by LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics recognized as faster, more accurate, and using less power, which’s the reason Apple made the switch. Both LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics have invested heavily in their component development facilities.

iPhone 15 Pro Max it’s Apple’s first phone to use a periscope lens. And it won’t built into any other iPhone 15 models. In connection with iPhone 15 leak, it’s said that iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will get an exclusive feature from Pro version of iPhone 14, namely Dynamic Island.

This feature is a replacement for the notch that has been present on iPhone screens for years. Dynamic Island combines hardware and software design to make it interactive and useful for users. Information about the presence Dynamic Island feature on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus has revealed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

When releasing the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple presented a notch replacement. It turns out that this notch design called Dynamic Island. Which has more intuitive and useful capabilities than a notch.

In its statement, Apple refers to the cutout on the screen shaped like a pill as “Dynamic Island”. Dynamic Island provides new ways for users to interact with the iPhone.

This Dynamic Island combines hardware with software. The black part on the top screen of this iPhone can display notifications and activities carried out by the user in real time. For example, when a user listens to a song, Dynamic Island will display what song is playing. When the user calls, Dynamic Island shows the call in progress.

That way, users can access control over the activities they are currently doing on the iPhone more easily.

Telkomsel Is Collaborating With Apple
Telkomsel is collaborating with Apple to present the latest iPhone 14 series bundling package, which is supported by a 5G service data bonus of up to 50 GB (Doc. Telkomsel).

On iOS 16, background activities will displayed on Dynamic Island range from Map, Music, Timer, Phone, to the third application. The presence of Dynamic Island clearly intended to provide notification information to users without having to leave application that’s opened.

User can see from Dynamic Island that their Lyft ride is two minutes away without having exit iMessage. When connected to AirPods, Dynamic Island can also show what percentage AirPods charge used.

When user gets a notification in Dynamic Island, the little black cutout at the top of the iPhone screen expands and provides relevant information about other apps running in the background.
